Celebrities & Beach Cleans
It’s become more prominent in the media that we are facing a massive problem with plastics in our oceans. Thanks to Sir David Attenborough’s Blue Planet on BBC One and Documentary’s like DROWNING IN PLASTIC aired on BBC One (October 2018) by presenter Liz Bonnin. Audiences are shown the damage of plastic waste on the world’s oceans and its very upsetting to see what we have been doing wrong for years.
The implications on the wildlife which become victim to the perils have struck a chord with us all. As a business based by the sea in Cornwall, we decided to do our bit for the environment by carrying out local beach cleans, we promote these beach cleans locally to engage local businesses and families. This is a great opportunity to get the community to engage in our vision and encourage our future generations to get involved. The beach cleans were set up by Simon Dutton in Partnership with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS). Once we have collected the rubbish from the beach we complete a survey recording every piece of plastic we find and send it to back to the MCS so they can create a picture of the rubbish found.
We are leading this as we have been promoting Eco Branded Items for years and we are the market leader in Eco Branded Merchandise. We are proud to have seen a slow increase in businesses wanting to get on board and offer a more Eco Solution for their marketing needs. Many Schools we work with are now offering re-useable branded sports bottles and we have even supplied engraved logo bamboo toothbrushes to a large local University.
We do work for national brand name businesses too, that again consult with us to come up with suggestions for Eco Branded items. We regularly follow and support people who have a connection with the environment on social media. Simon our Brand Director is very passionate about where he lives and the beautiful wildlife that surrounds us. He likes to engage with the local schools and community. He has also been invited to a business networking event for a local College who are asking businesses to attend to educate them on packaging (Oct 2018).
We firmly believe that this is the time to make changes, large brands like Walkers Crisps are being targeted to change the wrappers so they are recyclable, businesses have to do something now. You have to consider if its right to purchase branded plastic bags or think about our Eco Jute Bags range. People are using more products that are natural.
Celebrities are also promoting more ethically produced and eco-friendly, reusable products and have engaged with our Beach Cleans and our company ethos.
Here are some of our pictures showing our Beach Cleans; our ethos and hard work has grabbed the attention of these celebrities!
Whilst these celebrities have liked our posts on social media unless otherwise stated or shown in an image or by way of text, none of them indorse our actual products.
